FEDERAL LANDS

 

Wyoming is 42.3% public federal land. Open spaces and public federal lands are a defining feature in Wyoming and throughout much of the west. These lands are owned by us, the public, and managed by two agencies within the federal government: the Department of Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Department of Agriculture’s United States Forest Service (USFS).
